Palmetto Buffalo Grass is a tough, soft leaf Buffalo grass. This turf provides a lawn grass that has excellent winter colour, and can generally out compete weeds when established. Palmetto Buffalo Grass generally requires less watering and less mowing than most other turf varieties available in Instant Turf rolls or slabs.

Palmetto has outstanding emerald green colour that is a true eye catcher.  It performs well in sun yet thrives in shaded areas where other turf grasses fail, requiring only 3-4 hours direct sunlight per day.  It is a cold hardy Buffalo grass that is frost tolerant and holds autumnal colour longer than green or blue Couch's, Kikuyu, Durban and other Buffalo varieties.

Palmetto has a massive root system that once established, runs deep and sustains the grass through periods of drought, heavy use, and harsh conditions.  If damaged, its growth allows Palmetto St. Augustine to send out runners that quickly cover and repair open area.
